Many verses of the Qur'an are about the rule of jihad and its related dimensions, and this has led opponents and critics to introduce Islam as a violent religion. The necessity of discussing the rule of jihad in the Qur'an and its instinct becomes clear when we mention the numerous attacks of the opponents of Islam on this rule. Allameh Tabatabai, following verses 39 and 40 of Surah Hajj, considers the rule of jihad in accordance with human nature; If this theory is accepted, doubts about it will be answered. Therefore, in this article, by analytical method, citing library sources, the mentioned view has been studied; After examining the concept of "nature" and "jihad", he explained the view of Mr. Allameh and in it, the introduction to the innate nature of zeal and praiseworthy prejudice, its relationship with defending the rights of the oppressed and jihad to free them from the clutches of oppressors is mentioned. After that, by quoting a number of verses and narrations that indicate the monotheistic nature of human beings, its connection with the ruling of jihad has been stated. The behavior of the wise in legitimate defense in times of danger has also been examined as another proof of the instinct of jihad.
